Meet Dr. Phoenix
Dr. Danielle Phoenix is an NHS psychologist specialising in FND.
She is affiliated with FNDCourage (US) and is developing FNDCourage (UK), with a focus on accessible education and practical skills.
An Ongoing Educational Series
This four-session workshop explores the relationship between art and functional neurological disorder (FND), focusing on how creative expression can support understanding, communication, and emotional well-being. Participants will have opportunities to learn, reflect, and engage in practical art-based activities in a supportive environment.
CREATE | Your personal toolkit
This final session brings together breath, boundaries, and sensory awareness. Participants will create a personal toolkit of calming, grounding, and creative strategies they can use to notice their needs, manage sensory experiences, and support themselves in everyday life.
No artistic ability is needed — this is about curiosity, creativity and discovering what works for you.
Your creative kit

• Pens & pencils
• Coloured pencils, pens or crayons
• A few household objects with different textures
OPTIONAL
Magazines, scissors, glue, paints or any art materials you already enjoy.

Pay From the Heart: Contribute what feels right for you, with a $5 minimum.
We believe everyone deserves access to education and support, regardless of financial circumstances. The suggested contribution reflects the value of the program while allowing each participant to contribute an amount that feels appropriate for their situation.
Your generosity helps FNDcourage continue providing educational programming, community support, and resources for individuals and families navigating FND.
We look forward to learning with you.
