Session Six:

Explaining FND to Family, Friends, Schools, and Employers

December 19 | 11:00 AM MT

This one-hour webinar will offer practical guidance on explaining functional neurological disorder (FND) to family members, friends, schools, and employers. Participants will learn how to describe FND in clear, accessible language, respond to misconceptions or stigma, communicate changing needs, and decide how much personal information they wish to share.

The session will also explore ways to discuss symptoms, request appropriate accommodations, set boundaries, and advocate for support in education and the workplace. Attendees will be encouraged to develop a simple explanation or communication plan that reflects their individual experience, with practical examples and optional opportunities for questions. Participants are welcome to join simply by listening.

Registration

Registration is requested for each session.

This series is offered through our Pay From the Heart model.

Your generosity helps FNDcourage continue providing educational programming, community support, and resources for individuals and families navigating FND.

No one will be turned away because of financial hardship.

We look forward to learning with you.
