Session Seven:

Supporting Children with FND: A Polyvagal-Informed Approach to Co-Regulation and Care

January 9, 2027 | 11:00 AM MT

This session is a one-hour facilitated dialogue with Dr. Moenter for parents and caregivers of children living with functional neurological disorder (FND).

Using a polyvagal-informed perspective, the session will explore how safety, connection, stress responses, and co-regulation may influence a child’s experience of symptoms and daily life. We will discuss practical ways caregivers can support regulation, respond calmly during symptom episodes, and help children build a greater sense of safety and confidence.

Topics will include co-regulation, recognising signs of overwhelm, supporting transitions and routines, communicating with schools and healthcare providers, balancing reassurance with independence, and caring for caregivers’ own wellbeing. The session will be supportive and solution-focused, with sharing optional—attendees are welcome to participate simply by listening.

Registration

Registration is requested for each session.

This series is offered through our Pay From the Heart model.
