This Q&A series with Dr. Afra Moenter is offered to individuals with Functional Neurological Disorder, their care partners, and supporters.
Living with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) often brings questions that don't have simple answers. Whether you're newly diagnosed or have been living with FND for years, understanding your nervous system can help you navigate your experiences with greater clarity, compassion, and confidence.
Join Dr. Afra Moenter for this three-part live Q&A series designed to provide practical education, meaningful discussion, and an opportunity to ask your questions in a supportive community.
Each session explores a different aspect of living with FND through a nervous system-informed lens. Attend the sessions that interest you most or join us for the entire series.
Session One:
Dissociation & FND
August 8 | 11:00 AM MT
Dissociation is a common experience for many people living with FND, yet it can be difficult to understand and even harder to explain. In this session, Dr. Moenter explores dissociation as a protective nervous system response and discusses gentle, practical ways to reconnect with the present moment.
Together, we'll examine how awareness, curiosity, and self-compassion can become powerful tools for increasing presence and reducing fear around dissociative experiences.
